johnE bought his first drum set at age ten with newspaper route money he earned.  He and several neighborhood friends would "practice" on his back porch to Led Zepplin records for eight plus hours almost EVERY day.  Neighbors would tell his dad that "'the band'" sounds great!", "but they've got to learn more than that one !@##$%?  song."  Anyway, several rock n' roll bands that played local dances, than clubs throughout many years left johnE with the taste of something called "new country". The likes of Vince Gill, Joe Diffie, Diamond Rio..to name a few, brought johnE to the table to build the RODEO CLOWNS band.  RODEO CLOWNS band played locally for 9 years and several times at the Showboat Hotel and Caasino in Las Vegas.  Last year was time to take the clowns and put them to rest for a while. It was at this point in johnE's career and the "retiring to California" of another local drummer(Mr Danny Adams) that gave johnE the opportunity to walk right into the invited open seat for the GOAT ROPER band. Musical influences include drummers: Hal Blaine, Buddy Rich, Tony Williams, Jeff Pocaro, Eddie Bayers..to name a few. Locally johnE likes the styles and playing of Tim Cook and Kevin Shea. johnE's stated once, "When I grow up, I want to learn and play the drums just like Kevin and Tim." Some of johnE's hobbies include spending time with Harri(if he could only sit down FOR 5 MINUTES!). He has two teenagers, Meghan and Jonathan, who, earlier on "liked" country music and have moved to "better stuff on the radio". He rides a Harley, owns a vintage 54' VET, collects musical equipment and LOVES and I mean LOVES to EAT!! Thank goodness the club owners don't offer to pay this guy with food!!! They'd go broke!!  He's been kicked out of Chinese buffets and honesty, been asked to leave a LAS VEGAS BUFFET!!  WOW...Try and top that....johne did!!!  An even bigger acomplishment, johnE recently played on the FleetCenter stage in Boston(Oct 7, 2003) with none other than Shania Twain....What an experience that must have been...

johnE was also a member of the NHCMA and was on their board for 6 years(three as treasurer) and is also a member of the MCMAA. He loves entertaining and loves being on stage...What more can we say about him.....
